Am sontag frühabend, am tag nach dem tcsd, kommen die sechs Frauen aus Argentinien und Mexico mit ihrem "Tropipunk" Plus vokü, bar, djs.
"it was obvious they were 100 % Kumbia. Dancing did not even feel optional.. That’s what the music did..to us.It was hotter than hell, shirts and bras were coming off left and right, and there was more sweat than an aerobics class"
They´re back! and Berlin can´t get enough of them!

Jeden Tag rollten ein oder zwei Bauwägen von der Michaelkirchstrasse u
unserem neuen Gelände in der Kiefholzstrasse, gezogen von dem Lkw "Balou"
oder dem Trecker "Miss Marpel".
Den ganzen Winter über bereiteten Freund_innen/Unterstützer_innen und die
Bewohner_innen diesen Umzug vor. Neue Reifen mussten beschafft,
Bremsschläuche und andere Ersatzteile gekauft, der Trecker repariert und
der Oldtimer-Lkw getüvt werden (leider wurde beim Lkw, als er auf den tüv
"wartete", nachts eine Scheibe und die Rücklichter eingehauen :( ).
Toll, dass trotz des krass kalten Winters immer wieder Leute an jedem
Samstag und Sonntag zu den Bautagen kamen!! Dadurch konnten schon die
Kneipe, die Bühne, die Veranda...abgebaut, die Veranstaltungswägen
eingeräumt und die nötigen Bäume auf dem neuen Platz gefällt werden.
Aber natürlich gab es nicht nur die vielen sichtbaren Arbeiten. Es gab
auch laange Plena, Projekt/Unterstütze_innen-Treffen, Telefonate und
Treffen mit z.B. Liegenschaftsfonds, Hochtief, den Vorsitzenden der
Kleingärten (neue Nachbarn), den Wasserwerken, der Müllabfuhr,
Elektrikern, Leuten mit Zugmaschinen, Notaren, Rechtsanwälten....
Seit dem 15.3. trafen sich dann für 7 Tage (mal mehr, mal weniger) Leute
um 10h auf dem S.Kanal, um über die anstehenden Arbeiten des Tages
informiert zu werden. Reifen wurden gewechselt, mit Luft befüllt, Bremsen
repariert, Fenster mit Platten zugeschraubt, Öfen abgebaut, Dächer und
Wände ausgebessert, Lichtleisten überprüft, Miet-Lkws mit
Blumentöpfen/Stühlen/Tischen/Holz...beladen, Einkäufe gemacht.
Und das neue Gelände füllte sich jeden Tag mit mehr Leben und Wägen
und...Schwarzer Kanal. Viele helfende Hände zogen Baumwurzeln aus der
Erde, bauten Schuppen und Klo, rangierten und schoben Wägen an ihren
Platz, richteten die Fahrradwerkstatt, BikeAid und die ankommenden
Bauwägen neu ein. Jeden Tag gab es ein paar Leute, die tolles Essen
gekocht haben, das auf beide Plätze gebracht wurde. Manchmal gab es sogar
Kuchen.
Seit Sonntag haben wir Strom auf dem neuen Gelände! Das ist toll, nach so
vielen Jahren ohne (bzw eingeschränkt, mit Solarstrom). Wasser gibt es
leider noch nicht und auch die Badecontainerlösung ist noch unklar.
Der Widerspruch unser geliebtes Gelände in der Michaelkirchstrasse zu
verlassen, damit der Bauriese Hochtief ein weiteres Stück Beton an die
Spree setzt, bleibt. Als wir im Februar mit Wut im Bauch Morgen für Morgen
von dem Kettensägenlärm und dem Fällen der Bäume um uns herum aufwachten,
wurde es für manchen zum ersten mal greifbarer. Davor waren viele der
Bewohner_innen eher mit Orgas für den Umzug und dem anstrengenden Winter
auf einem Wagenplatz beschäftigt.
Mit der schwierigen Entscheidung umzuziehen, hofft das Projekt, eine
realistische Entscheidung getroffen zu haben. Und dem Schwarzen Kanal eine
langfristige Perpektive zu geben.
Neuer Platz, neue Möglichkeiten...
In den nächsten Wochen und Monaten werden nicht nur Bühne, Wege,
Toiletten, Werkstätten und anderes am neuen Platz gebaut; sondern auch
eine aktuelle Struktur für das offene Projekt Schwarzer Kanal. Du oder
deine Gruppe sucht einen Ort für Treffen, Workshops, Konzerte oder
anderes? Besonders „neue“ Leute und potentielle Nutzer_innen möchten wir
einladen dazuzustoßen, sich einzubringen und den Platz zu nutzen!
Für die 2.Umzugswoche brauchen wir auch noch dringend Unterstützung!
(helfende Hände, Leute mit Fahrerlaubnis für Miet-Lkws, Geldspenden,
Kochen für die Umzugscrew...)

Wir arbeiten bis ca. 17h. Wenn ihr schon wisst, daß ihr an einem oder
mehreren der Tage Zeit habt zum Umzug helfen oder kochen, freuen wir uns
über eine kurze mail.
Am Sonntag, 4.4. werden wir ab 10-ca.18h viele Leute auf beiden(!) Plätzen
brauchen, da wir unser Brennholz ein- und ausladen müssen.

the first moving week is over !!!
second moving week is coming (29.3.-5.4.)
every day, one or two of the wagons rolled from michaelkirch street to our
new place in kiefholz street, pulled by the truck "Balou" or by the
tractor "Miss Marpel".
during thr all winter we, the people who live and the people who take
other parts in Schwarzer Kanal, prepair for
this moving. we needed to find new wheels, to buy break tubes and other
replacement parts, to repair the tractor and to pass the truck the tüv
(german bureaucracy approval for vehicles)
its cool that
depaite the terrible cold winter, people continued to come every
saturday and sunday to the building days!!! thats how we could nicely
build down the bar, stage, veranda etc.etc. and to cut the necessary trees
in the new place.
but of course, thats was not only the vissible things to do. there were
also long plenums, phones and meetings between us to the
Liegenschaftsfonds, the Hochtief, the people in the Kleingärten (our
new neighbors), the water company, garbage, electricity, people with
pulling machines, notary, lawyers, etc.etc.
since the 15.3 we met for 7 days at 10am at S.Kanal,
to inform about the progress of the work in this days. to change and
pump wheels, to repair brakes, to cover windows by wood, to build down
the stoves, to fix roofs and walls, to put the light strips, to load
and unload the trucks with tables/chairs/woods,etc.etc. to make shoping.
and
then to fill the new place, every day, with more life, wagons
and...Schwarzer Kanal. many working hands uproot the trees from the
ground, build roofs and toilet, placed he wagons in their places,
organized the bike workshop and the bike aid and so on.. every day we had
few people who cooked for us and bring the food to both places. sometime
we even had really nice cakes.
since the last Sunday, we have electricity in our new place! it is great,
after so many years without (and we lived only with power from solar
panels, or the generators). unfortunately, water we still dont have and
also the solution for the bath container is not clear yet.
it is sad to leave our lovely ground in the michaelkirch street, and to
wait till the big building corporation Hochtief will throw another piece
of cement next to the spree but when we started to wake up in Februar
every morning from the noise of chainsaw and the falling trees around us,
it was nececary to think concrete. many of the people who live in
Schwarzer Kanal were already busy with the hard work of the moving procces
and also to live in wagenplatz in the exhausting winter.
with the hard decision to move, the project exept the difficut reality and
to bring the Schwarzer Kanal long term perspective..
new place, new possibilities...
the next weeks and months will not be only about building stage, ways,
toilet, working places and more in the new place; but also an actual
structure for the open project - Schwarzer Kanal. The project is: people
living there and people that use the place.
You or your group looking for place to meet, have workshops, concert or
something else? we want to invite especially "new" people to use the place
togeher with us!
we strongly need, for the second moving week, more support!
(helping hands, people with driving license for rented trucks, money
donation, cooking for the moving crew....)
29.3 - 5.4: every day short information meeting between 10 - 10:30am, in
michaelkirch 20.
we work till around 17:00. if you already know that in one or more of that
days you will have time to hepl in the moving or to cook, please let us
know in short mail.
in Sunday, 4.4, we need from 10:00 till 18:00 many people in both(!!!)
places. in that time we must load and unload our woods.
And on tuesday, 30.3. (10h-16h) we need also a lot people on both place
for carry and (un)load material.
But for sure this doesn`t mean that on any other of the moving days we are
not happy about every person that shows up...also if it is for only
shorter time!

März 2010: Der Schwarzer Kanal zieht um [english below]
Der Schwarze Kanal zieht um.
Nach jahrelangem Streit um Räumung oder politische Lösung ist nun eine
schwierige Entscheidung gefallen: Der Wagenplatz Schwarzer Kanal zieht um
und verläßt voller Wut aber auch mit Hoffnung das Gelände in der
Michaelkirchstraße und somit den Kiez.
Wir wissen, daß wir so der Stadtumstrukturierung, Vertreibung und Media
Spree nachgeben, doch wir wir hoffen auch, so einen längerfristigen Erhalt
des Projekts Schwarzer Kanal zu sichern.
Durch die Besetzung des Geländes des Liegenschaftsfonds in der
Adalbertstraße während der Queer&Rebel-Aktionswoche/Wagentage im Oktober
2009 konnten Verhandlungen mit dem Liegenschaftsfonds erzwungen werden,
deren Ergebnis nun ein neues Gelände zwischen Neukölln und Treptow ist.
Für den Umzug im März/April brauchen wir dringend Unterstützung!!!
(helfende Hände, Zugmaschinen für unsere 30 Wägen, Geldspenden,
Suppenköche, Nervennahrung...)

Wir können Gästen zur Zeit leider keine Schlafpltze zur Verfügung stellen.
Wenn ihr von ausserhalb kommt und niemanden in Berlin kennt, würden wir
versuchen eine WG für euch zu finden.
March 2010: The Schwarzer Kanal is moving out
After years of discussion and fights about eviction or political solution
now there was made a difficult decision: Wagonplace Schwarzer Kanal is
moving and will leave the place of Michaelkirchstrasse and our
neighbourhood in rage but also with new hope.
Concerning gentrification, expulsion and media spree we are aware that we
are defering. But we also hope that like this we can save the project with
a view of a longer perspectiv.
When we squatted the place of „Liegenschaftsfonds“ in Adalbertstraße
during the Queer&Rebel Action Days/Wagondays in October 2009 we enforced
negociation with Liegenschaftsfonds to demand a new place. Now the result
is a new place between Neukölln and Treptow.
For the moving in march and april we will need a lot of support!!!
(helping hands, trucks to pull our 30 wagons, money donation, soup
cookers...).
Come for the moving/building weeks: 15.3. - 21.3. and 29.3. - 5.4.
Every day: 10h – 10.30h info meeting at Michaelkirchstrasse
10.30h we start to move or build on old place
or go together on new place
For a better planing we are happy if you can tell us/write a mail at which
day(s) you can come for help and if you can bring special things
(Akkuschrauber, truck, car) .
At the moment we can`t host guests that come from outside. If you don`t
have friends in Berlin please get in contact with us and we try to find a
flat.

Actual situation
2009 is for Schwarzer Kanal the year of its 20th birthday as well as the
year of the time to leave, announced on 31th dec,
as Hochtief, owner of the ground wants to build its general headquarter.
Our resistance against the threatening eviction lead us to occupy a former
school ground, belonging to Liegenschaftsfond. This squatting took place
during the Queer and Rebel Wagentage action days among various other
actions supporting schwarzer kanal and opened negociations for a
replacement
ground with Ligenschaftsfond. At the present day, a few grounds have been
concreetly proposed, only some could be realistic, the meetings are going
on.
We are willing to find a fast concrete solution for Schwarzer Kanal and
hope to have a contract in hands before end of november.
However these negociations and the process of looking for a new ground
will develop, the next weeks will be intensive: parallel research for new
grounds
is going on, fast group decision have to be made, group energy needs to be
kept and we still have to move the whole place!... check our website!

Eviction in early 2010?
The schwarzer kanal has had its contract cancelled as of 31.12.09. This will lead very probably to an evction in early 2010.The owners of the land, Hoch Tief, say that they need all of the land we occupy to start a huge building project and for the access roads to the site. Hoch Tief claim that they dont want to start the building project so soon, but unless they start the developement in 2010 they will have to pay a large fine to the building regulators (BIMA).
Over the last few years, our location in the Media spree development zone in central Berlin has put us in the firing line of an invasion of big companies, and the gentrification of Kreutzberg-Mitte. However this is the first time we have recieved a concrete eviction date.
Schwarzer Kanal is mobilising to resist, and maintain our unique status as a queer political and cultural wagenplatz.
Schwarzer kanal is incomparable to just another concrete box.

Unser Vermieter HochTief hat den Vertrag uns zum 1.Jan 2010 gekündigt und wir sollen den Platz bis dahin geräumt haben. Der Grund für das alles ist der Baubeginn auf einem Nachbargrundstück. ( Unser Gelände wird für die Baulogisitk benötigt). Räumungsandrohung kommt weiterhin zustande durch Druck der Bundesanstalt für Imobilienaufgaben (BIMA) die darauf besteht, dass HochTief sein Bauvorhaben schnellstmöglich beginnt.Wenn ihr mehr Infos wollt, tragt euch in unseren email Verteiler ein:
